Trails and roads even in the most inaccessible places, are formed by the inhabitants themselves because of agricultural activity. Coming out of the village towards the village of Askoi, one can encounter the Spyridiano water-fountain and refresh oneself with its water, under the shade of walnut and plane trees. There are also archaeological sites nearby, such as the Parliament House and the ancient Agora, as well as remains of the cobbled road since the heyday of ancient Lyttos! Nowadays one can see nine windmills, 4 of which are in good condition, where in the past residents used to grind their grains.

Visit one of the largest wineries in Crete, “Boutari winery”. The winery offers visitors complete tour services, try of 3 different flavors of wine, and has a small shop where visitors can buy all the wines, local products and books and accessories on wine and gastronomy.
