Lyttos village, formerly called Xidas, is a small, quiet and of impressive beauty village in the north of central Crete, 20 km away from Heraklion and 3 miles southeast of Kastelli village! Built on the west foothills of the Lassithi Mountains its view is impressively panoramic.

The story of the beautiful village Skalani already starts from the early 13th century, leading over time the creation of a beautiful village, very close to the city of Heraklion, where you can enjoy remains of both modern and older (mainly Venetian) buildings.
